Laura Jones – Your State Representative
Welcome! Serving as one of nine State Representatives from Rochester, New Hampshire, I represent Wards 4 and 5, formally known as Strafford District 24.
Over the 2011-2012 term, the Republican majority delivered a truly balanced budget that reduced state spending by 11% while still delivering services for those in need. At the same time, we reduced or eliminated 20 taxes and fees and passed 80 laws to limit and scale back the heavy burden of regulation, in order to restore the New Hampshire Advantage and create a business friendly environment to create good, new jobs.
We have more work to do. Passing Right-to-Work; continuing to make government affordable; lowering a business tax rate that is still among the highest in the nation; and making sure that state government operates with the highest efficiency and integrity will remain my focus.
