Rep. Laura Jones is honored to serve the people of her state and community. She has a high regard for New Hampshire’s superior laws concerning individual privacy and freedom.
Since 1991, Rep. Jones has served full-time as a wife and homeschooling mother. Prior to this, she worked for two years as a real estate instructor and for four years as an accountant. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, graduating magna cum laude.
Rep. Jones was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives in 2010. She currently serves on the House Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee and is an active member of the House Business Caucus and the House Republican Alliance. She has sponsored, or co-sponsored, many pieces of legislation that have passed into law.
Besides serving at the state level, Rep. Jones serves at the county level as a member of the Strafford County Legislative Delegation where she has served on the Executive Committee. In addition, Rep. Jones has been elected to the Republican State Committee since 2010.
Rep. Jones holds memberships with the Rochester Republican City Committee, the Strafford County Republican Committee, the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire, and Gun Owners of America. She has been endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business, the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire, New Hampshire Families for Education, and the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance.
Rep. Laura Jones lives in Rochester with her husband Michael, a remodeling contractor, and their three children: Kyle, Spencer, and Skyler.
